Aromatic and slightly bitter, these seeds have a strong taste of the vegetable from which they come. They are commonly used in coleslaw and potato salad, but they are equally tasty in soups, stews, fish, and breads. Add these seeds whole, or grind them, on beef or pork to bring out a terrific flavor. In meatloaf, add 1/4 teaspoon of ground celery seed per pound.
